It’s time to send Jane English home.
Jane English is 81 years old and has paid her dues as a politician. It’s time for a change.
Recently, Jane was one of a handful of politicians that blocked salary raises for Arkansas teachers. Despite sitting on the Senate Education Committee, Jane could not be bothered to answer phone calls or questions from teachers in her district. Her silence on raising teacher pay and her vote against it tells us what we need to know: Jane doesn’t believe hardworking teachers deserve a raise.
Jane also sponsored the bill that chopped up Pulaski county’s congressional district. She doesn’t believe certain communities should pick their own leaders. When colleagues and constituents pressed Jane on the issue, she couldn’t answer basic questions about it. “I don’t know” and “I don’t have that information” are Jane’s go-to responses. She is not serving us well.
It’s time for new leadership. It’s time to send Jane home.
